Cinnamon and Benefits

Cinnamon (Cinnamomum burmannii) is a species that originated from Family Lauraceae and genus Cinnamomum. Known two varieties, the first varieties of red young leaves dark green and purple-leaved varieties of both. The first variety consists of two types, the type is dark red buds and pink bud type. Varieties widely grown in the central area of production in West Sumatra and the Kerinci is the first varieties. The second variety is only found in a number of small populations. Cinnamon red buds have better quality, but its production is lower than the green sprout cinnamon.
Cinnamon benefits


Cinnamomum-riding roots and stems are strong and tough, woody and branching. Shaped tree with a height of 6-12 meters. Sometimes also reaches 15 meters. Older branches bare. Skin and leaves when crushed smell a strong cinnamon. Where have all the distinctive aromatic smell of cinnamon. Leaves a single leaf (sometimes reinforced curved) which seats scattered, sometimes face to face, do not have the leverage. In the process, leaves opposite or change colour. Initially pink and light green on top. The leaves are oval or elongated elliptical with rounded or blunt pointed tip, 6-15 cm 4-7 times as strong skin.


Cinnamon tree requires a moist climate and a lot of rain, less well in areas with long dry season. Cinnamon tree can grow up to 2000 meters above sea level, but can grow well at a height of 500 to 1500 meters of the ocean surface. The desired ground cinnamon tree is an easy sandy soil leaching, and contains many nutrients and humus.


Cinnamon herbs for health:
High blood pressure
Ingredients: 2 fingers cinnamon, 10 grams of acid trengguli, galingale 10 grams, 15 grams of leaf sena, and 20 grams of sage leaves.
How to Make it: All material is boiled with 500 cc of water to the remaining 200 cc. Filtered decoction and drunk while warm. Other recipes, cinnamon bark 1 finger, 10 grams trengguli acid, 60 grams of corn, and 30 grams of celery, boiled with 600 cc of water until the remaining 300 cc. The water is then filtered and drunk warm.


Uric acid 
Ingredients: 1 timber seminal thumb - 5 grams of nutmeg, 5 grains of cardamom, 5 cloves, 200 grams of sweet potato, 10 grains of pepper, 15 grams of red ginger
How to make: All material is boiled with 1500 cc of water to the remaining 500 cc. Concoction is then filtered and then added 200 cc of liquid milk and drinking water. 


Diarrhea
Ingredients: 5 grams of cinnamon, 5 pieces of guava leaves, Sugar
How to make: All material is boiled with 600 cc of water until the remaining 300 cc. Water is filtered and added sugar to taste, then drink 150 cc twice a day.


Ulcer
Ingredients: Cinnamon 10 grams
How to make: Boil cinnamon with 200 cc of water to the remaining 100 cc, then filtered and drunk while warm.


Headaches 
Ingredients: 10 grams of cinnamon, 3 cloves, 5 grams of nutmeg seeds, 5 grams of pepper, 10 grams of ginger
How to make it: All material is finely ground to a powder. And brewed with enough hot water, filtered, and taken regularly.


To Overcoming colds and stomach bloating
Ingredients: 5 grams of cinnamon, 10 grams of ginger, 5 cloves,  5 grams pulasari, 5 grams of fennel, 5 grams of nutmeg, Palm sugar to taste,
How to make: All material is boiled with 800 cc of water until the remaining 450 cc. Then filtered and drunk while warm as much as 150 cc, do three times a day.
